Products and Services Newsletter #2

Services and Products We Love

We have always believed that part of our job as your veterinarians is to be your gatekeeper to the pet product-pet service industry. It's hard to know what's great, what's good, what's bad and what's downright dangerous for your four legged family member. We try hard to learn about new products and new services that are available, and we want to share what we've learned with you, our client.

So we hope to send out newsletters like this on a regular basis when we find products or services that we love, or when we find products or services that you should definitely stay away from.

DoodyCalls!

They should get your business just for the hilarious name! But the truth is, this service is not only a great idea, but also a healthy one.

Nobody, We mean NOBODY likes picking up dog feces in their yards. And that's what  Doody Calls is all about. They will actually come to your house, and clean your yard of all the "doody" that your dogs produce. And if you have a dog, and a yard, you know that the dogs produce enough "doody" to fill the yard on a regular basis. Even one dog, defecating two or three times a day, can quickly ruin a yard. The odor, the grass killing properties of the feces, and even just the hassle of constantly being careful where you walk for fear of that dreaded "squish" of stepping in feces can make you sto
p using your outdoor playground.

Without the services of Doody Calls, the feces just sit in the yard, and either you step in it (ech!) or the rain pounds it into the ground eventually.
Or if it's in the winter, the feces just sits there and freezes. If there's no snow, then come springtime, when the thaw comes, your yard is covered with a whole winter's worth of dog feces. If we have one of those winters where the snow sits on the ground for months at a time, then the pristine snow is littered with obvious brown blemishes. It's all disgusting, and it's not healthy either.

Too often, the feces can contain intestinal parasites, and the rain softened feces with parasites is still a problem because some of those parasites can be contagious to people. Roundworms and Hookworms are contagious to people, and especially to children and people who are immuno-compromised (sick, cancer, chemotherapy, AIDS, elderly, etc). So it's definitely a good idea to get rid of the feces before anyone comes in contact with it.

And the great thing about DoodyCalls is.... that YOU don't have to do it! I started using them at my house (one lab, one golden) and it's made a huge difference. My yard used to be a mine field, and now I almost never see pile of "doody" anymore.

Dr. Raclyn started using the Doody Calls service for his home in 2008, and today he says "I just didn't know a service like this even existed. Had I known, I would have been using Doody Calls for the past 20 years! I was so tired of telling my guests "Watch where you walk...." and nonetheless, someone would always wind up with a shoe (hopefully they were wearing shoes) full of dog "doo". I've got more than an acre at my house, and before I started using Doody Calls, it was a regular minefield. It was simply impossible to clean myself. I just don't have the time, and my wife would never do it (justifiably so!!).

But it's just not a problem any more. They come weekly, and I just don't have to worry anymore. It's just the best investment in peace of mind I've ever done"

If you're interested in this very affordable service, call George Sichler at (914)241-0680 or by clicking on this link.....  DOODY CALLS. George is a nice guy, and you'll be thrilled with the service.

Sincerely,

Steven Kasanofsky, D.V.M., C.V.A.
